Dogs with Sea Legs

In the US Navy, dogs were often used as a vital part of expeditions, often sniffing out food or trouble ahead. Later on though, they became an important part of morale and played the role of mascots. Check out these historical pics from the US Naval Institute. Just like if I was in gaol, if I was on a Naval ship, I'd want a puppy there too. I think what we've learnt today is that no matter where I end up, I want a dog there with me. Check out the Navy pics here.
